Eyeliner/Pipikit Ako || Armi Millare

Being the Up Dharma Down fan that I am, I just knew I had to grab a copy of this song after first hearing it here. I liked it so much I already conceptualized a black-and-white music video for it, haha.

Eyeliner/Pipikit Ako was used as the theme song for the short film Pirouette directed by Malyn Punay and Alina Co. I got in touch with Ms. Punay first via Facebook but she didn’t have a copy and so she gave me Ms. Co’s contact number. Ms. Co, the song’s composer, was kind enough to send me a copy of the song and viola! My quest for this rare Armi Millare song was a terrific success!

Kilig Fact/Background: This song was originally a poem written by Alina Co on a post-it during a Communication elective class in U.P. Diliman. She was to meet her crush Sam Calleja, who, on that day, confessed he liked her. She eventually gave the post-it to Sam and they’ve been a couple since. Ms. Co later met Owel Alvero of Ang Bandang Shirley who, together with Armi Millare, created the scoring for Pirouette.
